MS 162 Chainsaw

The STIHL MS 162 is a lightweight, easy-to-use gas chainsaw for home use, such as cutting firewood, pruning branches and light maintenance work in the yard. The 30,1 cm³, 1,2 kW STIHL 2-MIX engine delivers plenty of power for everyday tasks with low fuel consumption. All functions (starting, running and stopping) are controlled with a single combination lever, which greatly simplifies handling. The anti-vibration system reduces hand fatigue, and the QuickStop chain brake ensures safety. The chain is tensioned from the side, and the oil level is visible through the transparent tank.

Safety Information

Always wear personal protective equipment when working with a chainsaw: a helmet with face and hearing protection, cut-resistant protective pants, protective gloves and protective footwear. Read the operating instructions carefully before first use. Always hold the saw with both hands and make sure other people are at a safe distance. For fuel, use a mixture of gasoline and two-stroke engine oil according to the manufacturer's instructions. Not suitable for use by children or minors.
